LK Log Scan for Microsoft Exchange Server is designed to scan through log files created by Microsoft Exchange Server 5.x, 2000 or 2003 to gather data and create a report summarizing e-mail usage. It works very well at pointing out e-mail abuse on corporate networks. Used along with Exchange 2000/2003 Server, it is also an excellent and very inexpensive tool for Internet Service Providers to provide basic and automatic e-mail usage reports on a domain by domain basis.
I created this program because as a network administrator, I have been asked many times by management to make sure Internet users are not using their Internet connections for inappropriate activity. I know many firms are concerned that their Internet connections are not being abused by employees. This program will help to find users that are sending an overly large number of Internet e-mail messages. It can be configured to send an e-mail message each day, or only when a certain number or megabyte size threshold is met.
LK Log Scan for Exchange Server now comes in an Enterprise version! The Enterprise version comes with two added features. First, it has the ability to scan log files from more than one server, and second, it has the ability to output results to a CSV text file for later import and manipulation by any number of third party applications.
